Ive always had a strong passion for music, but really began to come to fruition at the tender age of nine. Since I was a young girl, I?d been surrounded by a wide range of musical styles and therefore naturally involved with musical projects throughout my youth. At school, I mastered the art of playing the piano and was also quickly absorbed by the mesmerising percussive sounds of the Steel pan.
I became a member of the steel band at school and began to refine my musical ear. my musical tastes began from early influences, such as my parents, who were very much into Bangra and Greek musicals. This, as well as my older sisters? love of R?n?B, 80?s pop, Reggae and Motown contributed to my varied style and continues to shine through in my live dj sets. I had been heavily affiliated with the club scene, before I realised that I actually belonged behind the decks, so have a genuine understanding of how to rock the floor as well as being an extremely energetic natural performer!
My musical style weaves between deep, soulful, funky and sometimes electro house, where she voyages through quality house grooves to suit all. Through my own experiences of being totally blown away by hearing amazing music whilst on the dancefloor, I was able to draw from these experiences and have been fortunate enough to discover and express this love of dance music. At present, I am presenting the breakfast show every week day morning on one of London?s biggest underground House music stations HOUSE FM? (www.housefm.net) and it is through this, I am able to showcase my love for dance music. I have a loyal fan-base whose interaction with me, results in my colourful and excitable personality shining through the speakers. I have played at some of Londons top nightclubs such as The Egg, Aquarium, Turnmills, Dust, Trafik, Canal Bar, Tabernacle Hidden (formerly Studio 33)and SeOne to name but a few.
A combination of raw talent, unique musical taste and an inspirational attitude to her passion are just some of the reasons why this girl has got it going on.
