Dj Meme under his new guise of Mansur is about to drop this new ode to the old school cut entitled 'Son Of A Gun' on his new label Memix Recordings this September.

Although this is the first track under his Mansur alias, Meme has been producing and remixing since the late eighties. The Brazilian producer/dj has seen releases on labels like Soulfuric, Playmore and Knee-deep to name but a few and has put out compilations on heavyweight labels such as Defected Records.

This new cut is the outcome of a single studio session for fun and has been road tested around the world too much acclaim by Meme himself and he's chose the track to be the first release of his new venture Memix Recordings.

"I have set up the Mansur guise as a platform to experiment with new and contemporary sounds, whilst still continuing to deliver the classic Meme sounds under my own name." –DJ Meme

'Son Of A Gun' the original mix is retro house chugger that is built on solid drum lines, relentless bass lines and diva-like vocal lines. It's built for the peak time house floors that love to party hard.

On the flip is the piano house re-edit of 'Son Of A Gun'. This is a straight up hands in the air moment with classic 90's piano lines and male vox repeating 'I'll house you'. Superbly thought-out by Meme and captures the current revival of the infamous club sound.

'Son Of A Gun' will be released on Traxsource Promo September 4th / Full Release October 9th 2015.
