Heralding the arrival of his brand new album, entitled ‘Everything Happens For A Reason’, Spanish journeyman Kiko Navarro teams up with legendary vocalist Julie McKnight for soulful gem “All Because Of You”. Filled with bright, airy strings, warm synths and broken beats, not to mention the stunning vocal, Kiko’s original version feels like an instant classic.

Atmospheric and effortlessly cool, Kiko’s alter-ego KOKI provides a deep house reworking, calling to mind Kings of Tomorrow’s ‘Finally’ with McKnight’s sweet, full vocal placed over simple synth bass, gradually building intensity toward a powerful and emotional crescendo.

Frenchman Karim Sahraoui’s ‘Motor City Remix’ takes “All Because Of You” into laid-back soulful house territory, laying sun-drenched strings over those silky backing vocals to create a truly sensuous mood. Equally at home in a warmup set, in the bar or the terrace, Karim’s reworking harks back to vintage Naked Music releases.

Steve Mill has been releasing languid, melodic sounds for some time now, but this year his hard work has begun to bear fruit with high-profile releases on Large Music and Madhouse. His version encapsulates the contemporary sound of House, as spearheaded by the likes of Dusky & Maya Jane Coles; bass-heavy, clean and deftly arranged with a definite nod to classic garage.
