Born in Wigan, growing up in the North West. Nick began his D.J. career in
1987 heavily influenced by regular visits on a Friday night to Manchesters
legendary Nude night at the Hacienda. (Before that a love of Hip Hop and
Electro had been staple diet.)
Residencies at various clubs around the North West from the late 80's to
early 90's soon followed - Byron's in Preston on a Saturday night,
Atmosphere at the Floral Hall in Southport and various guest spots around
the U.K. along with a season in Corfu, dates in Copenhagen (warming up for
Herbert!) and gigs in Northern Ireland (Kelly's)
In 1993 He moved to London and began working for Contact U.K, a wholesale
vinyl export distributor based in West London. This job envolved buying from
record labels and selling to distributors worldwide. Visits to the annual
music conferences in Cannes, Cologne and Msooniaimi followed.
Whilst at Contact U.K. further residencies at underground venues around
London where filled - Loco at The Open, Charing Cross Road. Mad For It! at
Watford Studio's and then a Saturday night residency at Bar Llorca in Stoke
Newington followed by a recent residency at The Living Room, Smithfield's
(opposite Fabric) every Friday and most recently guest spots at the Lodge in
Harlesden
Twice yearly Nick plays at a venue in Modena, Italy (Club Mata Hari) as well
as guesting at a beach party in Rimini playing Jazz, Disco and Soul.
Now working for Goya Music Distribution (the birthplace of Broken Beats) in
West London Nick is still heavily envolved with quality music,
An eclectic D.J. Nick plays Jazz, Broken Beats, 70's - 90's Soul, Old School
Hip Hop, U.S. Soulful/Gospel House and Disco/Boogie Classics.
